About Indian Leadership Forum against Trafficking (ILFAT)
ILFAT is a forum by the trafficked survivors for the trafficked survivors. The forum acts as a catalyst and convener for sharing expertise, insights, and evidences relevant to human trafficking in India, which are indicating systemic failure to combat these organized crimes.
ILFAT engages in policy and law consultation processes as well as with the media to share their findings and experiences in order to strengthen the existing system.
About Tafteesh
Tafteesh is a coalition of survivors of human trafficking, lawyers, social workers, probation officers, psychologists, researchers, and human rights activists. They have come together to empower survivors of human trafficking to claim justice and to support governments to prevent and combat human trafficking.

Indian migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic have faced multiple hardships. With factories and workplaces shut down due to the lockdown imposed in the country, millions of migrant workers had to deal with the loss of income, food shortages and uncertainty about their future.
Following this, many of them and their families went hungry. Thousands of them then began walking back home, with no means of transport due to the lockdown.
With the gradual opening up of the economy, some migrants have started returning back to their workplace while others have chosen to stay put in their hometown. Even after having endured months of suffering, various measures being taken for their wellbeing, theri future does not seem secure.
In this edition of #LetsTalkLabour, we will discuss the impact of Migrant crisis caused due to COVID-19 on the migrant labour in our country. While analysing this impact, the session will put light on what the future has in store for the migrant labour now that the economic activities are gradually restarting along with means of rebuilding and recovery after the crisis.
