About the Event

Since time immemorial, the predisposition of women in diplomacy can find its position at multiple fronts through the course of history. From the playwrights of Aristophanes to the multilateral negotiations of the 21st century, women have been playing a key role in establishment of peace and tranquillity.

Though one may point out that diplomacy is gender-neutral and does not entitle itself with sexes, the construct of recent societal experimentations has increased the importance of the role of women in peacekeeping, the context and imperatives of gendered institutions, the role of feminist foreign policy, and also has enhanced studies to achieve equity among masses through the advocacy of women in diplomacy.

Thus, as we move into the third decade of the century amidst much uncertainty, it is important to ascertain the role of women in catalyzing a new consensus to the world in order to make sustainable choices and coherent strategies.
